GQ Collins

Gequasha (GQ) Collins is a 3rd year doctoral student in the ASCP Program at Florida International University, studying the roles of race and cultural scripts on mental health outcomes in ethnic minority populations. Her research centers around the intersection of health outcomes and culture. She is a first gen, emerging adult Black woman from a low-income background and hopes her chapter on switching programs will inspire other students to trust their process, build relationships and take advantage of opportunities.
