Francisca Martinez

Francisca Martinez is a Psy.D. candidate at Rosemead School of Psychology at Biola University. She is a cisgender, first generation Latina born and raised in Los Angeles, California. As a first-generation college student, she has faced the challenge of defying traditional cultural norms while integrating new forms of being and identity. She is delighted at the opportunity to bring awareness to the pleasures and challenges of being a mother, wife, and student by sharing about her experiences. She is married to Joshue and together they have two beautiful children, Grace and Levi. Francisca is grateful for her mother, Fernanda, who has helped her navigate and juggle the responsibilities of motherhood while being a full-time graduate student.
